consideration the enclosed: Memorial from Mr.McMichael, now a Sanitary Inspector, and who was appointed a Warder in the Gaol under authority of your despatch No.243 of the 7th.October, 1895,

The facts set out in the Memorial are

correct. The officer who was appointed Chief Warder in pretɛ- rence to Mr.McMichael was Principal Warder Pierpoint, who was appointed a Warder under the same despatch.
